Headmistress Dr. Lakshmi Das Atta Honoured with the Prestigious Dronacharya Award

At the Belda Prabhati Balika Vidyapiṭh in Belda, West Medinipur, the school is like the first home of its Headmistress, and its students like her own family. The school and its girls remain her foremost focus. Since beginning her teaching career in 2004, she has not only handled administrative responsibilities as Headmistress, but also become a beloved “Didimoni” (elder sister-figure) to her students. She has aimed at the holistic improvement of her students and the development of the institution’s examination system. Over approximately 22 years from 2004 to 2025 she has earned numerous testimonials of achievement. Recently, she has been honoured with the “Dronacharya” award. The Headmistress is Dr. Lakshmi Das Atta of Belda Prabhati Balika Vidyapiṭh. This recognition has brought celebrations among the school and surrounding community. The award was given by a top educational organisation, in recognition of outstanding contribution and leadership in school education in the state. Besides the state’s best Head Teachers, the organisation also awarded top teachers in the science, arts and commerce streams. Dr. Lakshmi Das Atta was among the list of the state’s best Head Teachers for her exemplary work: her dedication, institutional development, and establishment of a caring relationship with students earned her this honour. Her being honoured is not just a proud moment, but a testament to her responsibility and devotion towards education in society.
